Managing user accounts / profiles is very easy in Windows 7. When any of a user profile in Windows 7 gets corrupted, then fixing it so very easy. Here is the step by step guide to fix corrupt user profile / account in Windows 7.
STEP 1: First, restart your computer so that all the locks on all the profiles are released.
STEP 2: Now, log on to the computer as an administrative account ( it should be the account that you want to fix ).
STEP 3: Now find the folder named as the user profile name what is corrupted. Its path would be – C:Users%username%
STEP 4: Once you find that folder, delete it.
STEP 5: Similarly, locate the folder C:UsersTEMP and delete it.
STEP6: Now, delete the registry key matching your SID ( session ID ) from “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE/MicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionProfileList“
STEP 7: Next, you need to check the value of “ProfileImagePath” and make sure that you pick the corrupted user profile for that.
STEP 8: That is it. Restart your computer and your corrupted user profile is fixed now.
